This series is about my conversations with the sky. During the 2020 and 2021 lockdowns I felt depressed and isolated, like so many others, and because I was not able to socialise and speak to others as I had been used to doing I became lonely and confused. I found myself looking at the sky every day to think. I spoke to it as though I was having back and forth conversations. In speaking to the sky I found I could 'empty' myself, and I felt peace and joy in the vastness of the sky. This gave me some inspiration to create a 'me and the sky' lockdown journal. While taking the photos, I placed some of my inner monologues – poems I had written – underneath the photos that I took, which was a way to explain the reason for taking them and my state of mind at the time of shooting.
