The hand is an indispensable part of the human body, and we need the cooperation of the hand to complete our daily life and work. Since ancient times, China has had a tradition of reading palms for divination, and the hands are closely related to one's 'fate'. The hands are the second face of a person and are an important part of the expression of identity, temperament and emotion. They are even a better reflection of a person's real life and state of being than their face. In addition, shoes are also iconic objects that can objectively reflect their life experiences. So I decided that my project this semester would be to photograph the hands and shoes of people of different professions and ages, looking at them from a small scale to a large scale, and digging out the lives of people in contemporary China from a partial perspective, hoping to touch the audience and let them get to know the country and its various people more truly.
