S A T E L L I T E

S A T E L L I T E is a project in which I have created 3-D fashion content using CGI. Throughout this semester I have been learning to use 3-D programming in order to produce this body of work.

I've always been intrigued with astronomy, and that curiosity has lead to the conceptual underpinnings for my final year project. Collaborating with Felicia Agatha as the designer, we have produced a set of three garments that were imagined and romanticised from images that were captured by the ISS (International Space Station). The garments have been 3-D sculpted from surfaces and textures inspired by satellite images such as those taken of the Sand Dunes in the region of Lyot Crater on Mars and The Sandy Great Bahama Bank Sand Dunes in the Bahamas, here on Earth. The outcome is a cinematic video loop showcasing the digital garments.
