Intra-action

Intra-action explores a city scattered full of dust and matter, where the human condition becomes blurred into a state of moving as one – a dynamism of forces. Over the course of 2021 I photographed strings of pedestrians during a COVID-ridden city. The images in Intra-action convey an ethereal and spectral nature, portraying ambiguous figures that are made of matter that is almost ghostly and out of this world. Matter forms the basis of everything underlying our existence. Matter and meaning are an intrinsic force; the two are not separate elements, they are fused together and move as one. By breaking down the human condition into an ethereal form made up of dust and matter, Intra-action represents the human condition as particles all moving together as one force.
