Reminiscence

Reminiscence is a documentary series of photographs which explores my childhood and the pivotal places in my hometown of Shepparton, Victoria. I revisited my family’s photo albums and in turn determined the places within Shepparton that I believe shaped me into the person I am today. Interestingly, most places that I remember as significant in childhood have not changed much over time. This series combines archival photographs that I found in the family's photo albums with new photographs I created in response.

While this series is quite personal I hope it can be universally understood as everyone has places they remember from their childhood that played some role in moulding the person they have turned into.
