My MFA project utilises single-use plastic waste in sculptures and installations to explore the relationship between consumerism and the social impact of capitalism. I documented and acquired plastic waste materials by recycling mass-produced plastics from my daily life and then reformed this trash, recycling it into the form of installations through handmade processes. This project seeks to enhance an understanding of environmental issues through the transformation of plastic materials as through the process of transformation mass-produced materials are changed into unique and precious sculptures.
