Through my video work I investigate how disaster affects individuals, especially the personal psychological changes that can be experienced after mass disasters such as COVID-19 or floods. This is an exploration of emotional pain and depressive expression. I collected more than a dozen personal items from China and Australia. These items include pillows, wine, toys and so on. During times of disaster these items can take on greater significance as they are objects that can serve as reminders of difficult events.
