Georgia de Wet is an artist living in Melbourne who works in sculptural ceramics. Her work focuses on symbolic imagery from the perspective of feminine representations of her family and personal history. She is currently completing a degree in Ceramics at RMIT University. With a background in painting and printmaking her ceramic works share similar graphic qualities. Traversing material, method and personal narrative, Georgia’s practice is an evocative reflection of the intersection between expression and exploration. Georgia respectfully acknowledges the land of the Bunurong, Boon wurrung and Woi wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation, where her practice is based.
