My practice engages with textile, sculpture and drawing to initiate inquires of correspondence between place and materials. When working on an installation, I place importance on my own involvement in the configuration of the materials. This active approach eventually charges the work with memories of my presence to underpin the mode of conversation I generate. The space I act within becomes a site to stage this material correspondence, creating relationships between sculptural elements and the surrounding space.

When oscillating between the mediums of sculpture and drawing I often contemplate each mode as revealing varying statements of movements and exchange. I revisit these mediums in iterative cycles, repeating and sometimes undoing work. I contemplate this undoing as a complex time practice which questions the movement of time and entropy to construct multi-temporal work. Working within a space-time construct I attempt to redefine the boundary of reality, rethinking the possibilities of material presence.
