My gaze Wanders, Silent
so as not to alert
those Precious ones who
swim within their powdery
Vaporous sea.

In soft Undulation,
flecked Glints of spectral Forms
shift Rising, falling
Depths far deeper
than which Eye may reach.

Stirring Beneath the surface,
to gift me with a Glance,
Eye waiting, watchful
Seized a Glimmer
which was Known to me

Just as a Bell had tolled,
Emerged from wisps and Glowed,
Escaped that veiled expanse, rose
Brilliant, Radiant, now
Suspended—
began to Turn

My Heart began to Swell!
Exquisite love, or pain, I am
quite unable to tell,
Unfolded, blossomed,
Two in cadence,
One enchanting Spell

As though a Breath was taken,
rose Higher still above,
still Deeper inhalation,
float feather light till
Full,
Expands
Then –

Sighed softly, letting go,
Fell dainty, down again
and further, further,
fell from View
Enfolded once again,
Renewed

Vanishing from Sense
there Echoes
imprecise Impression,
tendrils stretch through haze
out Chasms, slip
Past and
Formless, fade away

The Hand,
plunged vestiges of Memory
rewritten by the Eye
Subsumed, also,
in Desperation,
rush to
Replicate that Sight

In that Disappearance,
the hasten to Recall,
It never really is quite so,
with careful Thought, and,
Execution,
rich as that true, rare Delight.

Still I visit every day,
that gossamer Abyss.
Elusive ones,
Cocooned in clouds
carried by tender currents
or recede in
Undertow

I ask them, please, to
let me Glimpse,
perhaps, again, once more,
a glittering Moment
where I feel
so very much that is
