As a person who likes to conceive and imagine, I call myself a Dream Weaver. I don't like to define the boundaries of an object; my works are more like a process in which I am constantly weaving, maintaining a state of flux. In life I look forward to those moments of déjà vu that give me the illusion of being in a vision, a wonderful feeling that triggers an inner sensitivity. For me even a momentary sensation of oblivion can trigger an image, such as a vague and soft silhouette that then carries the sensation of that moment.
I am interested in sketching, using a process of free association to let images arise that for me explore the relationship between the ‘ego’, ‘id’ and ‘superego’, articulating the sensations ‘I have’, ‘I imagine’ and ‘I want’ in the material form of installation. Rebirth, reinvention and sustainability have always been the essence of my creative philosophy.
The current body of work, A reinvention for ethereal dreamlands, reshapes the images that arise from momentary memory and perception to make installation. The dream is my starting point, and I like its hazy quality. This haze of uncertainty prolongs the development of the imagination, which is subtle, uncontrollable and unique.
