The most defiant act of resistance I can partake in today is one where I forcibly spill out of my mould.

In making, I shift the power to the patriarchal resistance. I work with the pervasive and the subversive through collaging processes to expose the hypocrisies of the public and private domains. By using the expertise and passions gifted to me from my mother-figures I revalue them as the single most important skill set that I could possess. The layers lived by my mothers anchor the layers that I have lived and project me out with fearlessness. I refuse to be morphed into anyone other than myself. I refuse to be forgotten. I refuse to be devalued. I refuse to go quietly.
