In epidemiology a ‘vector’ is an organism – typically a biting or burrowing insect – that transmits a disease or parasite. A ‘dissociative vector’, then, might be an object, text, space or entity that serves as a medium through which a state of dissociation, dislocation or dis-assimilation is communicated, conveyed or transferred. The aim of this project is to open ruptures, to create zones of de-familiarisation in which new lines of resistance may be explored, articulated and experienced – brief temporary zones in which distinctions, associations and structures are blurred, shifted and unmade. An epistemic ungrounding.
