My work explores ideas of cultural erasure and assimilation centred on my Kurdish heritage. Working primarily with etchings, my practice considers the way my chosen medium can be used as a metaphor for these issues while critiquing traditional printmaking conventions. I am interested in subverting the idea of an edition through utilising the multiple to create large scale installations while incorporating the matrix to reveal what is often hidden from view.
