The Shape of Noise to Come
The Shape of Noise to Come explores how the interrelations between cognition and perception produce simultaneous temporalities of line and circle, offering a provocation to confront the contingent nature of the self. In this project installations are constructed from assemblages of technical objects and explored through improvisation, with my body and voice as performer. Visual and sonic material traces are recorded through camera and microphone, accumulatively layered back into the work on-screen and in-speaker. This inverts the white-cube gallery from the site where the product of labour is presented into the site of production itself, one in which new subjectivities are individuated and objects are manifolded into the virtual. Further documentation of this project can be found on my website.
