My practice seeks to present personal narratives articulated through figurative painting. I am interested in exploring the emotional capacity of my mediums, extending to discover the personality contained in its viscosity. My work is a result of investigations into art practices through a generational lens. I approach paint viscerally when describing someone, using intuitive, experiential knowledge of the human gaze. Studying relationships between the photograph and painting to engage with motifs of memories and time, my central focus is in reflecting the emotive elements a portrait has the potential to encounter.
