The concept of these works is based around the feeling of making people intentionally uncomfortable, evoking a visceral reaction from the viewer. My work includes elements of dark fantasy and mythology. Words such as 'disturbing' and 'uncanny' often come to mind when describing my pieces. I work with a variety of mediums, often combining soft and hard; organic and man-made. The base of my work usually surrounds metal, whether that be in the form of jewellery or sculpture. I then like to incorporate materials such as fake flesh, human hair and bones. I’ve found that the amalgamation of these materials creates the eerie feeling I am looking for.
