As an interdisciplinary artist I work across several mediums, predominantly in video art but occasionally expanding to working with sculpture, painting and drawing. I am interested in challenging the space of the gallery as well as the very definition of art, arguing that merely existing is an artwork in and of itself. My practice revolves around ideas concerning the everyday, attempting to capture those moments or commonalities that often go unrecognised, as if their existence does not matter. Additionally, my work links back to the self, discovering meaning that can be related to on a personal level, either through the process of creating a piece or upon reflection of a completed piece. I have been experimental throughout my artistic journey, not having any premeditated direction or focus on my artwork, causing my portfolio to have inconsistencies, differences and varieties in style (which is not always a bad thing!). During these periods of uncertainty I was able to create some of my best artworks and come to some realisations that have led me to where I am as an artist currently, finding my own niche within the art world.
